Maybe I'm being thick here but I can't seem to find who provides the 
sponsored links on eBay.

i.e. the "Sponsored Links" which appear on the bottom of, say, this page
http://computers.listings.ebay.co.uk/Laptops_W0QQfromZR4QQsacatZ177QQsocmdZListingItemList

I don't want to just assume its Google (actually, for that matter, I've 
failed to find ebay listed as a content site under Adwords so I'd assume 
  its not Google).

As I say, probably just being thick here.
