Thanks for the reply. I have just had one of those occaissions where you
book an appointment with your doctor only to get better before you get there
moments... for anybody having the same issue:
1) copy libmysql.dll from php install to system32 folder.
2)make sure that your php.ini has the extensions uncommented
3) Save php.ini to windows folder - reboot.

Ps. It had to be windows because my client was very 'clear' about their
server.
