Sounds as though he is going to need an accountant, and they ought to be
able to guide him through. Jordans in Bristol at

good company diy set up package. He will also need to set up a new bank
account in the company name, and keep separate accounts. VAT, Terms and
conditions, Income and Corporation tax will all need to be considered. A
local accountant would be best, but where is your friend?

Good morning [_],

I have a friend who is currently running his company as a sole trader
and has started to negotiate contracts etc with some big companies so
has decided to create a limited company (good for legal reasons
apparently). Does anyone know where he could go for advice on how to do
this, what needs to be done, how it affects things like banking, etc?
He's basicaly a techie start up, not internet but software.
