If (hypothetically) I was looking to recruit a web manager, to manage
a small team of 3-5 (editors/publishers, admin and help desk), who
needed to be web-savvy, have experience of running a decent-sized
public web presence, be uptodate on standards, be able to manage the
revision of a couple of thousand pages of existing content into a new
IA, be able to update style guides, liaise with content-owners in
different organisations, sit on committees and governance boards,
engage with stakeholders, able to manage the budget etc etc... how
much would I need to pay to get someone competent? Probably a 1 year
fixed term contract, based in Bristol.

(and if anyone knows anyone who would be interested if such a
hypothetical position came up, email me off list - I stress this is
not a position that is open at the moment)
