+1 for TextMate - use it for all the time. when editing AS files, you
can hit the test movie key com, and it tests the active FLA in the
flash IDE, v handy.

One problem I've found though is editing remote AS files and FLAs,
flash often doesn't appear to pick up the changes, seems it's
something to do with the timestamp on the files, it's a common
problem, but a pain in the a** - I have to always copy my files over
to the machine I'm working on.
