I think its more born out of desperation rather than anything else. I really don't know why they don't make it a free lottery where you register and each person 'wins' the opportunity to buy a pair of tickets. I gave up on this scramble nonsense years ago :o) There are loads of smaller, just as entertaining festivals anyway.
