[_] (OT) Faulty product does it have to go back to the manufacture first?

I've not done anything out of the ordinary apart from use it for a
good number of hours while typing various bits of code into
applications and command lines, and play the odd computer game. But I
don't think there's a specified amount of time you can safely use a
laptop for?

But with regard to the part that's failed its the connection between
the brick and the cable end that goes into the laptop, you plug the
jack into the brick and twist so it makes a connection and that's the
part that's melted and become damaged.

The thing is if I had the power to melt plastic with my mere physical
presences I think I'd be after uri geller's job which I imagine would
be rather well paid :)
