my first advice would be to try running /sbin/ifconfig to see whether
your wireless card (usually identified as wlan0) is indeed working. try
to find out the chipset and whether it's supported. this may be a good
place to start:

you'll need to provide a lot more information than the above to get much
from the brislug lot, but they'll let you know what they need and how to
get it if you ask.
