Overall it's a nicely-done site. A few comments, though.
1. Apparently there are some links in the opening paragraph, but
they're styled exactly the same as non-linked text. Jakob says that's
a no-no and, for once, I agree with him.
2. I hate Verdana, but feel free to ignore me.
3. You don't have an h1, which some schools of thought say should be
the name of the site on the home page and the title of the page
everywhere else.
4. You've used LIR to replace "Welcome to DJChapman! Plumbing and
central heating specialists, our plumbers serving customers in
Newport, Cardiff and South Wales." with an image just saying "Welcome
to DJChapman!". I'm not sure how naughty that will be viewed by
Google...
5. The logo isn't clickable - convention is that the logo should link
to the home page.
6. There's a mixture of <img> tags and image replacement. If
something's decorative, use CSS.
7. Alt attributes on <img> tags aren't the best, e.g. "logo -
Worcester/Bosch boilers" and "logo - The Institute of Plumbing and
Heating Engineering - registered plumber". Users don't care that
something's a logo; just tell them what you want the logo to convey,
e.g. "IPHE Registered Plumber" etc.
8. On FFx 1.5.0.6 on Windows, the grey line above the footer sticks
out about 10 px on the right of the main column.
9. Get a favicon - tabbed browsing makes them very useful.
I have to go to a meeting now, but may find more later...
