Is this not just the common misconception about Li-ion batteries?
NiCads like to be discharged completely... Li-Ion and Lead Acid don't
- in fact it is bad for them and they prefer to be kept topped up. At
least that is what the chemistry suggests.
And back to Rick's question - I've also failed to make the Great Apple
Battery Recall Cut and therefore in the market for an iBook G4 battery
(Apparently I'm only 70% as satisfied as when new, although it feels
worse than that). At a party last w/e a friend mentioned that a
company called something like "Born Again Batteries" rebuilt his
WallStreet's battery, to good effect. Trouble is I can't find any
trace of it on Google.
