I used it about 6 years ago... or rather I wrote some perl and SQL for
some bits of an ecommerce site built using it. I never had any idea of

Nothing wrong with perl, MediaSurface is to perl (and Java) what story
server is to tcl (and now java).
I'd steer clear of most of the large expensive CMS like it. Bricolage
is a far better bet.

It was very very slow if you were using the Java UI over X over a dialup.
