[_] cheap powerbook batteries

I read on one of the mac news sites that apple had altered the para
metres of the batteries being recalled, so I check the newly updated
apple site and my battery is now one of the one's not being recalled.
Does this mean I won't get a new battery even after a confirmation
e-mail from them?
Has anyone had an experience of this?
