Hi [_],
A client has moved their site on to a FastHosts dedicated Linux box
from a FastHosts shared account, and I've been tasked with the
transfer.
I've moved all the files over, setup mysql etc, tested via the IP
address and everything appears to be absolutely fine, so I now need to
move the domain over.
I've activated DNS on the dedicated box, which has given me
nameservers named after the domain I want to swtich, so how do I
switch them over!? eg:
www.domain.com - currently points at fasthosts nameservers
dedicated box has DNS/WEB/FTP/MYSQL active and has it's own nameservers:
ns1.domain.com
ns2.domain.com
so, when I login to UKreg to amend the domain, I'm not really sure I
should be putting in the nameservers above, for fear of the site
getting lost completely!
Any help greatly appreciated, as this is my first foray into dedicated
server land (save for playing on my OSX boxes at home).
Many thanks,
Jon
