Meh.

Look, someone asked for a recommendation and got a reference to
somewhere the referer has no experience of and who, in previous
threads on this very topic, have been roundly criticised for being
a bit rubbish at best and downright crap at worst.

Example: my daughter's iBook expired 6 months after having the
motherboard replaced under a recall. Farpoint do the sucking air
over teeth thing and say "recalls are only guaranteed for three
months, would you like to buy a new Macbook?". I call Apple and
the very nice Indian man on the other end passes me to a very nice
Irish man who says "that mobo shouldn't have failed so soon",
gives me a special dispensation code. A week later, the iBook is
back with not only the motherboard replaced, but a new shell
and a new CD drive.

You only have to stand in Farpoint for half an hour listening to
them try to part naive designers, musicians or parents unnecessarily
from their money to get an idea of where they're coming from.

Frankly, PC World in Bath are a better bet for buying Apple kit from.
I got my first Powerbook from there and a G5 both as end-of-line
genuine bargains.
