This was the last post so that is why I am replying to it.
Very sad to hear about the SkillSwap site, but better thats its gone
than rubbish although I am pretty annoyed because we did try our best
to use it.
I still have funding for events and possibly even a bit towards a web
presence, however, right now no-one has offered to talk on anything
and I have the sponosors breathing down my neck as if we dont do it we
will lose the funding.
I need speakers, 3 of, for October, November and December.
Could we get that sorted first, and then a web presence. I mean I have
managed ok with just using email and a google calendar so far.
However, I think I know what Andy means, it takes me 2-3 days at least
to organise each event, which I dont mind at all but its a not
insignificant amout of time which I volunteer.
And every event has been very well received and attended, I am a
little dissapointed that we now dont have any speakers, the whole
concept of skillswap and what we were doing was really starting to be
recognised by a lot of people.
Look forward to your comments and suggestions,
Laura
