Yup, as I understand it. People will always make up their own minds
anyways, and having laws in place to stop that is a bit daft, although I
supppose I can see why they're attempting it.
At the end of the day, if someone doesn't want to employ a 54 year old who
turns up for the job of a junior designer as it's a young team, and they
want to keep it that way, they will find a reason not to employ them - law
or no law. In the same way that if someone interviews 3 people and really
likes one of them even if they don't fit the skills bill, they are usually
the one who's hired (be it because of their shining personality, massive
breasts, or perchant for the same football team...).
Still, keeps us all on our PC toes..
