Dude I would make it in flash why learn director when you got all the
flash skills going on, i've made a couple flash cd-rom/dvd in my time
and never hit a wall with the app.
I would agree that director handles video files that have a bigger Mb
count with more oomph, but if you get your video compressed well you
can make a product thats of an excellent quality in flash.
I also agree with Chris another bonus would be at anypoint the client
wants to make a website out of the project, if built correctly it can
published to the net without too much pain and hassle you just need to
structure the project using the correct basic actionscript classes and
that should get you there.
