There is the chance that someone did this independently to get  
affiliate revenue.
Are 888 registered in the uk, or are they one of the ones registered  
in the caribbean somewhere. One benefit of the uk being a gambling  
haven is that uk courts have jurisdiction. I'd assume that it was  
illegal.
