I don't think so... FAT32 *can* be detected on the Mac, but the partition tables can cause grief. It's not just the disc formats that need to be universally recognised, but the MBR/GUID/Apple partition tables too. It can be fairly tricky. I think petef's suggestion of using MacDrive is a good one. I've used it before.
