Hang on a sec... do Macs support ext2/3?  I don't think so...

FAT32 *can* be detected on the Mac, but the partition tables can  
cause grief.  It's not just the disc formats that need to be  
universally recognised, but the MBR/GUID/Apple partition tables too.   
It can be fairly tricky.

I think petef's suggestion of using MacDrive is a good one.  I've  
used it before.  Not much use for me, as my aim is to properly share  
discs between generically installed machines, rather than  
transferring of files, as such.
