What the jeweller does is to out the ring onto a sort of metal
tapering done, and gently tap it with a leather-faced mallet. If it is
a gold ring, it takes very little effort and only a few minutes time
to make it significantly bigger. The shop should be able to do that no
problem.

If you're going about three four sizes up, and the ring was a very fine one,
it's better to cut and solder in a section, but that takes about 30
minutes of skilled jeweller's time, and no doubt the "jeweller" in the
shop wouldn't be able to do that. There will be a craftsmen (or woman)
in Brizzle who can do it easily enough, though.

The altenative of making your finger smaller is a LOT more hassle!
