The entire service _I've_ been getting is shite. That much is correct =)

I think that may be it. It seems to me that the newer HGs are worse than
the older ones on the whole, and new subscribers get a bad service. The
fact that their support department won't do anything about it doesn't help,
though.

Incidentally, AFAICT, BT may be informally relaxing their ban on users
changing their HG. Although it's still banned, they made it clear that they
hadn't kicked anyone off for doing that, since it seems to fix some issues
for some users.

Bit of a turnaround from "sorry but this is FUD" =)

To be honest, until you posted, I hadn't known anyone to have had a good
experience with them, whereas I do know a few people who unfortunately are
experiencing the same difficulties I've been having.

I hope Sam can make an informed decision based on two quite different
experiences.
