How often does anyone actually need support for an ADSL account??!
Once it's up and running what on earth needs supporting?
I've had it installed here without problem for a months now.
I agree totally that their email support sucks and so does their phone
support line (it'll take 2-3 calls to get anything of any sense out of them)
but show me a decent sized ISP that isn't like that! (and incidently the
call was at the very start and regarding a billing issue, not technical).
[web space rant snipped]
While I can see that this is extremely annoying, it's not a reflection on
their ADSL service.

Which services and what evidence?
FTP is fine, HTTP is fine, DNS resolution is fine (so long as you force the
DNS servers and don't let them assign you ones), I can stream content, we
ran a PC Anywhere session for nearly an hour last Friday without hitch,
Terminal Services is great, Virtual Private Networks works - hell even ICQ
and MSN don't complain.
I uploaded the entire contents of a CD to an ftp server last night without a
hitch and use the service all day every day for standard work and do not
have a problem with it. There is a noticeable "chug" at around 6pm but it
was the same with our Easynet ADSL Business account too.
> In all, DON'T GO WITH BT!
In all, sorry but this is FUD and NOT an average level of experience with
the service.
Cheers,
Rich
