[_] BT ADSL

Hi,

I've got BT Openworld Home at, err.. Home.. Anyway it's great and if you
get the Business class line it's even better! They give you this quite
nasty looking little SpeedTouch Cable Modem (it's like a flat
"manta-ray" looking green thing and it plugs into a USB port) but the
benefit is that you can use Internet Connection Sharing on it by using
normal Win2k (or any other version that supports ICS) you also get 2
funky LED's (not LCD's ;) to show when things are happening which is
something I always missed from internal modems.

Anyway downloads speeds are good, upload isn't as wonderful but that's
ADSL for you and Telewest is no different.

Installation was painless and professional and in the few months I've
had it installed the line has only ever gone down totally 3 or 4 times
and even then for no longer than an hour or so.

Cheers,

Rich

Hi

does anyone have BT ADSL who could tell me how good/bad it is please?

I was using Telewest High speed internet but am moving to a new business

premises and the install and running costs seem to be lower for BT.

Is this because the service is worse? ;-)

any advice would be much appreciated

thanks

Sam
