[_] Unix hosting and Catalog software

I have a contact in Bristol who has been using Actinic's e-commerce
software to run his online shop, but he has has had some problems
with his provider and is now looking for a good reliable unix host.
Anyone local that can be recommended?
He also talks about expanding his site to include attractions such as
web forums, chat, user posted pictures and that sort of thing. I
suggested that this might be a good time to find an integrated
backend to his website, since in the long term this will be easier to
maintain than bolting on bits and pieces as he goes along. Again, any
recommendations?
