With the Americans now carpet-bombing Afghanistan, Underscorers may like
to know that the Bristol Stop the War Coalition is holding a public
meeting this evening at the Council House, College Green, at 7.30pm.
It's called "Why the Bombing Has to Stop".
The main speaker will be Paul Marsden MP (the Labour rebel); also Farooq
Siddiqui (Muslim Cultural Society), Joanne Baker (campaign against d.u.
ammunition), and Chris Harman (editor of Socialist Worker, author of
'Economics of the Madhouse', 'A People's History of the World', etc.).
Hope to see some of you there.
